A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. This page lists what this site uses and why.
What is set here
- Strictly necessary — a small number of items required for pages to load and display correctly. These cannot be switched off.
- Advertising and measurement — the Meta pixel sets
identifiers (including
_fbp, and_fbcwhen you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram advertisement) so that visits and click-throughs can be measured and advertising can be targeted. - Analytics — Microsoft Clarity sets identifiers
(including
_clckand_clsk) used to group the pages of one visit together, so we can see how far an article is read and where people stop.
This site sets no cookies for personalization or content recommendation.
How long they last
The Meta identifiers persist for up to 90 days from your most recent visit.
The Clarity identifiers persist for up to one year (_clck) and for
the length of a single visit (_clsk), unless you clear them
sooner.
Turning them off
Every major browser allows cookies to be blocked or deleted, either altogether or site by site. Blocking them will not stop this site working. Meta's own advertising controls are at facebook.com/adpreferences.
